It's not natural talent that's got me here. It's standing out in the yard for 10 hours a day and the work that I put into it. It's like a puzzle. There are so many little pieces that you have to make fit for the whole thing to work.

One time I had a bow that I wanted to get painted. My teacher said, "I'll help you paint it, but you've got to show up for one of my Bible studies." I thought it was no big deal, so he painted this bow for me. I ended up going to one of his Bible studies. I really enjoyed it. I started getting a little more involved with it there. When I went to college, I was involved with Intervarsity (Christian Fellowship). I was also involved in the United Campus Ministries, some of the other churches and church groups there.

It's easy to get wrapped up with everything else going on in the world. It's easy sometimes to push God aside and pay attention to the other things that you have going on in your life. That's not the way I want to be. That's not the way I want to live my life. I want to have God as a focus of my life.

He's been very good. He's blessed me in so many ways. For instance, helping me to get where I am is something I couldn't have done on my own.
