I was raised in upstate (Ithaca) New York -- a very independent child who played about every sport there was. My parents became born-again Christians when I was 13. While I always believed in God, I didn't embrace their faith or have a personal relationship with Him. I was a troubled teen, drinking and doing heavy drugs, and at age 18 I tried to take my life.

My parents moved me to Florida to help me try to find myself. I got more serious about golf, but I also turned to a gay lifestyle that lasted for 11 years.

At age 27, after two years of therapy, I started playing golf professionally. Two years later, my mother survived a brain aneurysm. I sensed God was giving me an opportunity to make my life right with my family. We gathered together in prayer and I gave my life back to the Lord.

Now I play golf for the glory of God, seeking to give hope to those struggling with differences or difficulties. My life, a testimony to God's grace, is lived for you.
