| In professional sports, the talent level is so competitive throughout every league. I think it's a mental edge that you have. Most games you play from the shoulders up and if you can't have that mental edge, then you might be on the losing end for the most part.
I think a good saying is: "Don't get too high with the highs, too low with the lows." Stay on even keel and I think when you can do that I kind of take after my father. He said: "Don't take life too serious." Football is a sport. It's fun, but it's not everything. And that helps me out a great deal.
I think it's really determination in wanting to play well and keeping your faith in Jesus. He plays a big role in it. And each week we have a Bible study and that helps out a great deal; that we can continue to fellowship and come together and learn more about the Word.
As you are around the household, I think that you have to show your kids with leadership and not with words. Showing that Jesus is a strong part of my life gives a good foundation for my children to grow up and that's very important.
I believe in Him. We have a lot of different people that argue for evolution, but I have faith in Him and I think that's the biggest part. You have to have faith, undoubted faith and that's what I have.
Sometimes life is hard and it's not always fair. But I think that if you shoot for the moon and you fall short, you're still in the stars. If you put your faith in God He'll answer your prayers but you have to be sincere. And if you ask for something and pray for something, you can't have a selfish mode because if it's selfish, He might not answer it. But if it's for a good reason, a good cause, and He believes in it, then more than likely that He'll probably answer it.
