Super Bowl Champion

Growing up, I just couldn't get enough of sports. I loved playing football, basketball and baseball. And on Sundays, if I wasn't out playing, I was glued to the fame on TV. In high school, I was All-State in all three sports. And academics were important, too. I became student body president and made the National Honor Society.

Before I began college at Northeast Louisana University, I made football my career choice, first playing and then some day working in management. I joined a business fraternity and, on the field, I made All-Conference my senior year. In 1990, I signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent.

My NFL debut wasn't what I planned. I was cut from the Dolphins in '91, '92, and '93. But each year, I was picked back up by Miami and was still fortunate enough to be the quarterback on the field when Don Shula on for the 325th time. After being put on the expansion draft list, I finally ended up in 1995 with the Green Bay Packers. And then we won the 1997 Super Bowl.

Sure, the uncertainly is tough. Some people are always going to tell you you're not good enough. But, my family has always been there for me. My Dad was a coach and both my parents taught Vacation Bible School. They were the first to talk to me about God. Because they stuck with me, I listened.

My parents told me God will always be there for me, even when they couldn't be. Once I began to talk to God and really trust Him, I learned that when I work with Him, not against Him, He helps me overcome the struggles of life. I know that, in life, I'm not really good enough. No one is, except Jesus. I sleep well at night because I know God sent His Son to die for me. He came to earth to be good enough for me and for you.

God is here right now for you. You just need to trust Him. Start trusting Him by clicking here.
