| I dreamed of making the NFL, admiring the Cowboys' Roger Staubach. He always found a way to win, and he knew Christ as His personal Lord and Savior. My parents were also role models, teaching me to make decisions that honored God.
I asked Christ into my heart at age 4, but I haven't always stood firm in my faith. For a few months in college, I ran around with the guys and grew miserable. But God drew me back to church and Himself. I rededicated my life to Christ, once more being forgiven through His death on the cross.
While leading in sacks my second year in the NFL, I became proud. But I tore my calf muscle and instantly sat. The next year I was benched and thought my career was over. God humbled me, got my attention, and again led me to fix my eyes on Him.
He loves me not because I play in the NFL, but because I'm special in Christ.
