It really is a challenge and what I try to do is try to have a mind of peace most of the time. I tell you reading scriptures and meditating a lot really helps me to keep my mind at peace. God helps me keep it inperspective. But I try not to put any more pressure on myself than I have to.

I just let God take control. I'm not trying to have it all myself. I'm not trying to make sure that I'm doing this. I'm doing that. I'm just trying to you know, do my little part and then He'll take over the rest.

That was something I was raised with as far as a kid is concerned. My father was a minister, and I had to separate on my own. Last year, I accepted Him, but you know it's been a positive change for me. I've played better. I mean, a lot of positive aspects have come from the game and for myself. It just seemed like He put it into perspective for me. I didn't put football as my God first. I put Him first. You know football came a little later on down the line.

Well, basically what I say is, you don't try to do everything on your own. Know that you do have a higher power, which is God. And you can always go to Him no matter what you did or how many times you mess up, how many times you come up short. You know, as Christians we come up short a lot of times. But what we can do is just keep having faith and keep believing and be patient and wait on Him. A lot of times if we wait on Him, we'd have a lot more blessings than we ever thought we could have.

Are you trying to do everything on your own? God can give you the peace and patience to keep going when times get tough. To find out how you can know more about God and his love for you click here.
