| I think everything happens for a reason.To miss something you don't need to get involved with or to make you tougher -- you never know what you're being protected from or shaped into by God. Things don't always go the way you want them to. But I believe after you get over the initial feeling of wanting things to go your way, then you can really commit yourself to Christ. It can be the stormiest day in the world, but I don't worry about it. I know God is going to take care of me.
I'm a firm believer that God puts the right things in your mind to say and do when you really need them. When I would get back to my room after practice, I would watch the television interviews and wonder where I got those words. It seemed like it was always the perfect thing to say.
