| I am no different than anyone else. I'm no different from that homeless man on the street. I'm no different than that big-time movie star that's over there. You know, everyone is on the same level. If your heart isn't right and your faith isn't strong, then you really need to take a deep look within yourself and say, 'Okay, what do I need to get on the level with the Lord. How can I gain His attention.' You don't need this world's attention. All these cameras and lights, they don't mean a thing. The one thing that really does matter is your relationship with God.
And when that's right, everything else is right - even when it's wrong.
I know that everything that has happened to me, good or bad, is because of the Lord, is because of the lessons that He's putting me through in order for me to learn whatever it is He wants me to learn. When we lose a game by one point, are the ones that hurt the most, I think that's when He wants me to know, 'Delisha, even in your darkest hour, I'm going to be there.
Just His name along brings me so much peace. He is definitely a comforter. Sometimes I can just sit there and I can just say His name, "Jesus, Jesus," and just with me saying His name, I feel light, I feel like my burdens are lifted. I don't have to say anything; I think He listens to my heart.
He is always there to say, "DeLisha, it's okay. I understant you may be having these thought, these feeling, but it's okay, I am here to guide you through this." That's what He means to me.
