| I came to faith my sophomore year in college. A guy (Doug Goetcher of Athletes in Action) came up to me and started talking about God. I always believed in God. I had just never made any commitment.
We talked about God and where I was going to be and where I wanted to be when I died. I couldn't say where I was going and it bothered me.
He gave me a Bible and I kept reading it. I didn't understand it all that well at first. But I kept reading and relating Bible stories to my own life. Something would happen during the day and I would read about it in the Bible and I got very interested.
It was just by reading all the time. I don't go to clubs or parties. That's easy for me. It's tough sometimes when friends are going out, but I've stayed away from it. The Bible says to put on the full armor of God. You're a new person in Christ and you can't do what you did before.
We should not live for this world. This life is temporary. Living with God is forever.
