| "I put in my mind to play 190 games counting Spring Training and right now I'm strong physically and mentally. That's something you have to have to keep going up there every day and thank I God that He gave me the opportunity. You're going to have a tough day sometimes and sometimes you're going to have a great day.
I always prepare myself for the tough day because I know how to deal with it. You have to keep going with it. Never give up. The way you start is the way you finish. That's the way that I prepare myself.
There are a lot of major leaguers that forget where they've come from. I never forget where I've come from. I know I was a poor guy and God give me the opportunity to be who I am right now, and I always have that in my mind. I go out and try to be nice with the people. It's the only way you can go home relaxed and not make any mistakes, because God is up there and He is seeing everything.
Just stay with Him all of the time. I never give up. Some people think that if you believe in God, there's going to be a miracle every day. You cannot do that. You have to go out there and talk to yourself, talk to God; because every time you talk to God for real, you're going to find that He means every word. He never gave up. He never walked out on you and He's there for you. You just have to say: "Jesus help me out please," and He'll be there for you."
