Seven Daily Exercises
Just as physical growth demands physical exercise, spiritual growth as a Christian demands spiritual exercise. Here are seven daily exercises to build up your spiritual muscles:
1. Daily Die to Self.

Yeild complete control to your life to Jesus Christ every day. "I die every day...in Christ Jesus our Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:31).

2. Daily Obedience to Christ.

Every day, commit yourself to obeying God and His Word. "Then he said to them all: 'If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." (Luke 9:23).

3. Daily Bible Reading.

Spend time every day reading God's Word. (Begin by reading through John or Mark.) "...they...examined the scriptures every day..." (Acts 17:11)

4. Daily Prayer.

Devote time everyday to talking to God in prayer. "...give us today our daily bread." (Matthew 6:11)

5. Daily Fellowship.

Get involved with your local church, and seek regular fellowship with other Christians. "...encourage one another daily..." (Hebrews 3:13)

6. Daily Witnessing.

Tell others about Jesus Christ every day through your words and actions. "Day after day...they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ." (Acts 5:42)

7. Daily Praise.

Praise (thank) God every day for who He is and what He has done. "Seven times a day I praise you." (Psalm 119:54)

"I have the desire to God's will. I try to work on my Spiritual condition on a daily basis."

Jeff Musselman, Major League Baseball Pitcher

"Sometimes when I am on the tour...it's difficult when there is no one to talk to, or when no one understands. But there's always the Lord who is with me and will help me to strengthen myself and be strong in Him."
