| The whole goal of coaching is to get your athletes to perform the best they can.
How do you exactly achieve this goal?
Here are some tips and techniques to get the best out of your team.
|
|
|
|
- Treat all your players fairly with respect.
- Do not demand too much from the athletes with lesser talent, push those who have been blessed with the greatest athletic ability.
- After criticizing a player, say something positive to bring them back the next day.
- Support your athletes every chance that you can. They deserve to be supported.
- If you must criticize a player, do it face to face, but in reality you need to take responsibility as the coach.
- Make all the players feel important. Team unity can be judged by the behavior of the athletes not on the field.
- Stimulate your athletes to be the best that they can be.
- Coach, coach, coach!
- Stay in control - don't lose your temper!

- Honesty is the centerpiece of a coach and athlete relationship. Be honest, tell the truth.
